Access to information
Agendas for Parish Council Meetings are placed on the notice board on the corner of Oaks Road and Abbey Road.
Information can be obtained from the Parish Clerk, Mr Brian Duncombe, on 01530 831383 Monday to Friday between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m.

Charley Heritage Group meets monthly and undertakes projects throughout the year. Contact Mrs M. Havers on 01509 503943 for details.

Memorials
The spinney at Copt Oak was planted in memory of Ron Pearce, a Charley Parish Councillor for many years.
The Millennium was commemorated by two granite stones, one at the junction of Abbey Road and Oaks Road and the other at Copt Oak near the M1 bridge.

Nature reserves
Charnwood Lodge was designated a National Nature Reserve in 2000. It is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The Parish Council considers and passes comments to the Planning Department at North West Leicestershire District Council on all local planning applications.

Public conveniences
Toilets are available for public use in the car park of Mount St Bernard Abbey during the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Recycling (waste)
Waste for recycling is collected on a fortnightly basis. Additional facilities are available at Shepshed, Coalville and most of the supermarkets in the area.
